Installing Gentoo 2007.0 on a ThinkPad R61. From ThinkWiki. Jump to: navigation, search. 1 Model; 2 General. In current TuxOnIce versions the option to raise this value did not work anymore, that's why I put. Recently, 2.6.27 gentoo hit portage. There are several imporant changes. The patched driver runs on 2.6.27 and survives my 5 minutes 'dd if=/dev/zero bs=1024k nc target 9000' test which usually dies in less than 90 seconds on 2.6.28+. To use the patch, just copy r8169.c from HEAD and use patch -p1.

Thinkpad Hibernate issue with 2.6.27 I updated to the new kernel a few days ago on my Thinkpad T41 and now my laptop doesn't always resume from hibernation. I noticed that once I updated, it now turns on my Bluetooth radio by default whenever I boot. Thinkpad-sources-2.6.27 Ok, finally they made it out. Sorry for the long time, but there were some difficulties, just notice that there is still no official tuxonice patchset for 2.6.27. Welcome to, a friendly and active Linux Community.

Today I patched the brand new zen-sources-2.6.31-r2 with tuxonice. Again it required the modified tuxonice patch of my last ebuild. Suspend to RAM works at least on my Dell Precison M65 as well as suspend to disk does. Today I patched the new zen-sources-2.6.31-r1 with tuxonice.
This time it was a bit more complicated since the two patches are conflicting. So I modified the tuxonice patch to apply cleanly over the zen-kernel.
Suspend to RAM works at least on my Dell Precison M65 as well as suspend to disk does. It massively corrupted my filesystem last night, but I think this was my fault, with what was in hindsight a horribly buggy tuxonice-debugging patch, which broke proper suspension of the block devices, following which ext4 tried to write to them, stamped on its own superblock then panicked and rebooted, leaving me with a desynchronized RAID.The kernel package contains the Linux kernel vmlinuz, the core of your Mandriva Linux operating system.
The kernel handles the basic functions of the operating system: memory allocation, process allocation, device input and output, etc. I know I am using TuxOnIce which is not part of the mainline kernel. And I am even using an inofficial patch - which I will use again unchanged for the non MTRRSANITIZER kernel, in order to know whether its the MTRRSANITIZER thing. Stable kernels 2.6.31.6 and 2.6.27.39 released. So besides tuxonice, what else ar people missing from -zenmm? Do not meddle in the affairs of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger. Maybe everyone has alreadey made their own ebuilds for this excelent patchset.
Here is mine helium-sources-2.6.26-r1.ebuild I have to use rX where versions are heliumX.
